New Malkoff Dropins!

Illumination Supply now has HIGH CRI (90+) Dropins for sale!

Gene Malkoff of Malkoff Devices kindly allowed me to get a custom run of 90+ High CRI dropins made! These dropins use 3000K Cree XP-G Q2 Emitters and look very much like incandescent bulbs - but are much more efficient.

The first batch of 10 sold out quickly, but there will be a second run of 30-40. Pre-order one today and reserve your spot in line!

M61HCRI

LEDs may be efficient, but they have been lacking in CRI - the ability to accurately reproduce colors accurately... Until Now. With a minimum of 90 CRI, this dropin approaches the colour rendition of incandescent lights, with all the efficiency and regulation you've come to expect of a Malkoff LED dropin!

M91

The M91 is currently the brightest P60 Dropin you can get from Malkoff Devices. This dropin is priced at 125$ because of all the research and development that went into it. Malkoff dropins are built to last!

This Dropin is rated conservatively at 450 lumens, out the front!

About Me
Since this is my first newsletter, I thought I'd introduce myself.
My name is Craig Shih, and I've been into flashlights since I was a kid. It seems I have an interest in almost everything pertaining to light: flashlights, photography (though I'm still learning), laser projectors, and almost any sort of test equipment. I've been interested in flashlights from the technical perspective for a few years now. I actually used to review flashlights, and you can see my old website here. Eventually I went on to informally consulting and helping smaller retailers and manufacturers out.
In December of 2010. I began to notice a gap in the market - It was difficult to find a single source of high quality flashlights and components geared towards both the enthusiast and the general user, so I stepped up!

Custom Modified Surefire U2s!

I am pleased to announce that I have 2 XM-L modded U2s for sale!

I will only have 2, so they are not listed on my website.

These have been modded with: XM-L T6, 1D on an 8mm DatiLED board. The boards were then expoxied onto the heatsink with artic alumina. Silver solder was then used to attach the wires.

They will sell for $200 shipped, CONUS. International + $10 USD. Email for details.
